Flame proof weather proof (FLP / WP) enclosures are constructed in accordance with provisions as specified in IS / IEC : 60079-1 : 2007 ; suitable for II B and Zone I & II atmosphere. Failsafe AC or DC disc brakes are fitted inside these enclosures. Very compact and modern in design. The mounting flange of the enclosure is mounted on the non driving end of the motor. Fluid coupling is a hydrodynamic device used to transmit rotating mechanical power. It has widespread application in marine and industrial machine drives, where variable speed operation and controlled start-up without shock loading of the power transmission system is essential.
A fluid coupling consists of three components, plus the hydraulic fluid. The housing, also known as the shell (which must have an oil-tight seal around the drive shafts), contains the fluid and turbines. Two turbines (fan like components), One connected to the input shaft known as the pump or impellor, and the other connected to the output shaft, known as the turbine, output turbine. The driving turbine is rotated by the prime mover. The impellor's motion imparts both outwards linear and rotational motion to the fluid.
The hydraulic fluid is directed by the 'pump' whose shape forces the flow in the direction of the output turbine, thus causing it to rotate in the same direction as the pump.Thus the power is transmitted from the driving to the driven

| Introduction : |
Torque Limiter is a device, which as its name suggests, protects a drive system from damage due to excess torque. When actual torque exceeds the rated torque due to reasons like shock loads, over loads or machine jams, the torque limiter slips, and thus prevents the excess torque from getting further transmitted. Once the excess torque has passed the Torque limiter re-engages. The advantage here is that no resetting is required, thus saving down time of machine. The Torque which is to be transmitted (permissible torque) can be set with the help of spring washers. The torque capacity of transmission increases when the spring washer is tightened and vice versa. The same Torque Limiter can be used over a specific range of Torque.
Friction liner are used to clamp either a sprocket, gear, sheave or flange plate and provides the resistance required. |

The Lever limit switch operates when it reaches a predetermined position when the lever is moved over a projecting member fixed on the girder.
The series limit switch is fitted with four sets of contacts which cuts off two phases of the motor in either direction and is suitable for 500 V supply system. The limit switch contacts are automatically reset when the lever returns to zero position due to spring action. The base and cover have machined surface to protect against dirt and dust.
